Teasers from Japan

Safely in Kyoto, my first dummy move of the week: my laptop uses a 3-prong plug, and the Japanese outlets, alas only have space for 2 prongs. Boooo. So until I find an adapter, we are limited to iphone postings. Therefore, here is your first teaser:
A braises, sweet baby octopus, witha a bonus quail egg stuffed in the head - from a little stand in Nishiki Market, Kyoto. It was tender without losing that satisfying chew of octopus, very sweet and lightly briny, and then the bonus creaminess when biting into the lightly boiled tiny egg.
